Massage on Set for Film & TV
Turn 2 Massage unveils wellness massage program for film industry
ATLANTA (Feb. 21, 2013) – Turn 2 Massage provided on set massage services on its seventh film production this month, marking the introduction of its official film industry wellness program.
Turn 2 Massage provides on set massage and celebrity massage services for television and film productions in the Atlanta region.
“Filming a production requires very long hours, sometimes 16 to 18-hour days for the cast and crew,” Turn 2 Massage owner and licensed massage therapist Michelle DiGaetano said. “Massage on location provides a much needed break and helps contribute to keeping the staff healthy and reenergized.”
Turn 2 Massage has been providing massage services for movie productions and cast members since the 2010 filming of Footloose. Other productions include The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Scary Movie 5 and most recently A Madea Christmas.
Georgia’s Entertainment Industry Investment Act provides a 20 percent tax credit for companies that spend $500,000 or more on production and post-production in Georgia, either in a single production or on multiple projects. The state grants an additional 10 percent tax credit if the finished project includes a promotional logo provided by the state. With this tax incentive, film production has become a major industry in Atlanta. Many television shows, as well as motion picture, are being produced in the Atlanta area. New studios have been built and the industry continues to grow each year.
Due to continued referrals and requests for her services, DiGaetano felt it necessary to tailor her services to the film industry. Turn 2 Massage has initiated the wellness program and now offers massage on set and in home massage for producers, directors, cast and crew members. Turn 2 Massage works with industry professionals to ensure the appropriate privacy needs are met.
